hi alice. 爱丽丝，你好 i got to know you today and somehow you came to know me a little more than a week ago even though i had no idea who you were then and still, i dont really know who you are. 我今天对你有一点了解，在某种程度上你比一周前对我了解了一些。即使我对你是谁没有概念，我真的不知道你是谁 ive always lived in the usa. i dont just live in the usa now. i was born and raised in the usa making me a chinese american. actually, i have learned chinese, but english was my first language. im not sure if i would go crazy for chinas culture. 我一直住在美国，不是现在才生活在美国。我生和长在美国，我是美籍华人。实际上我学过中文，但是英语是我的母语（第一语言）。我不能肯定我是否会对中国的文化着迷。 let me give you some advice. when you want to be someones friend, you are supposed to ask to be friends with someone first or say "i hope we can be friends". then, you say "im glad to make friends with you". it is not polite to just email someone out of no where and say im glad that we can be friends. just telling you... 让我给你些建议。但你想和某人做朋友时，你应该先询问或者说：我希望我们能成为朋友。然后说：我很高兴和你成为朋友。只是不知从哪里给人发封电邮说道，我很高兴我们能成为朋友，是不礼貌的。只是告诉你。。。 so, it is great that you are interested in me. am i supposed to tell you about myself or what do you suppose?? 所以，你对我感兴趣很好。是我该告诉你我自己呢还是你应该？
